Vichy Ideal Soleil SPF 50 Mattifying Face Fluid Dry Touch Sunscreen

Don't we all need sunscreens now! We need it all year around though, but forever more, during the summers. Being an oily skinned girl with sensitive acne prone skin, our sunscreens should not clog pores and breakout and also give the desired sun protection. Vichy sunscreen does all that, and is truly one of the best in the market for acne prone skin.
I had tried the Capital Soleil in the past, that too by mistakenly the one for dry skin. Which did make my skin feel oily but did not break me out though. I had saved that one to be used during the winter. And let me tell you this, truly the best one ever. In winter it worked like a charm. This year when I needed a new one, I made sure to get the one for oily skin. And it's with a new name too, it's Ideal Soleil now.

The packaging is same like the previous one, only the formula of this one is different. To know more about it, check my post here.

Retails for Rs 1300 for 50ml

I am a fan of this and for all the right reasons. It does not make my skin oily, rather gives a dewy, glowy finish. Does not clog pores, skin breathes and does not feel heavy. Usually I tell if a sunscreen is working for me or not, with acne breakouts on cheeks post usage. With this no breakout! Touch wood! This does not give any white cast, and foundation layers well on top. Does not melt away with sweat too. I did not notice any major tanning with this compared to other sunscreens I have used. Sunscreens does protect your skin but causes a little bit of tanning too. Some does a lot, like the Suncros, some less like this one.

I know this is quite expensive, but good things comes at a price, aren't they. But for oily, acne prone skin this is just perfect.

  1. Nice review. Seems ideal for oily skin in summers. The Avene sunscreen is also similar :)

  2. Higher SPF is a must for Indian summers. Sadly, most chemical sunscreens don't suit me. Nice review dear. Also, loved your pictures. They are so crisp! :)
