Iba Halal Care Luxury Facial Soap in Saffron Sandal

Do you use soap to cleanse your face ? I often do when I use hand made organic soaps with quality ingredients. I have been seen products of this brand on many blogs and decided to finally give it a try with their soap at first. I got the variety of saffron and sandal, a small 25gm of size.

This was supposed to be a back up travel soap for my Goa trip just in case the O3+ one did not work for me. But all thanks to my laziness I did not try either of this before my trip. Then I also thought, I need to carry a case for the soap to house, extra headache. So at the end, I ended up not taking this anyway and started using it once I was back from Goa.

The reason for me to get this was it's claim for being paraben and sulphate free. Has no pork or animal ingredients, it's a Halal product hence, no alcohol also. I truly feel more of brands should introduce more of Halal products so that our Muslim friends can also enjoy a wide range of skincare without worrying much. And for us, the non Muslim folks, we would get an alcohol and cruelty free product. And there's always a reason to cheer for that isn't it!

The soap has a lovely fragrance of saffron and sandalwood and if you look closely you can notice tiny specs of saffron strands also. I love the fragrance, saffron and sandalwood mixed together smells very royal. But not very long lasting, it dies down and once I put on my rest of the skincare, the fragrance is gone completely.

The soap lathers well and definitely cleanse well. It will remove all traces of makeup, mascara, Kohl pencil but not in one go through. I did have to go in twice to remove everything completely. At the end, I am left with a squeaky clean face stripped off all of its natural oils and dry, very dry. Similar feeling if you used any stored brought soap to wash your face. Now, we do not like that feeling do we!!

So, I started using this as a body soap. Honestly, I had used much better handmade soaps within this price point. 25gms of this costs Rs48. So an 100gm would set you off to  around Rs200. So that's quite up there in price for an assumably factory made one ( no where in the package I could spot that this is handmade). And neither it has any moisturising butters to hydrate your skin in the ingredients list.

Hence, in a way I am not impressed with this as a facial soap and I feel it was way too expensive for a vegetable oil based soap. This would never be in my re-purchase list.
