Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal Zero Blemish Gel Cream

The major problem which people which oily skin has is to find the perfect moisturizer. Many even skip moisturier thinking, they have oily skin and they don't need moisturizer. The matter of the fact is without using anything to hydrate your skin will end up making it more oily. Excess sebum production is skin's defense mechanism against lose of moisture.

So no matter how oily your skin is and in coming summer days how oily your skin would probably get, never skip a good moisturizer. Trust me when your skin is well hydrated, your skin would be less oily. Even though I am stressing so much on this crucial skincare item, you have to make sure that you use something which is lightweight, probably gel form and is non-comedogenic so that it does not end up clogging pores and causing acne.

Today's post is about one such moisturizer which is absolutely amazing for oily skin and can be used all year around. Yves Rocher is a French brand and has top quality ingredients which make their products so so excellent. I am using the face wash from the same Sebo Vegetal line which I have reviewed here, today I have all about this Zero Blemish Gel Cream for you all.

It retails for Rs 800 for 50 ml and you can buy if from Nykaa or from Shopper's Stop.

Packaging

I do not know if you feel the same way about French skincare like I do, a little biased towards them. I feel that they can never go wrong when it comes to quality and their packaging too. This glass jar with pale green detailing looks very pretty and aesthetically pleasing, giving the impression of an expensive face cream.

Fragrance and texture

The fragrance too gives the same feeling, like that of something which came out from a lab nestled somewhere in the Alps. The fragrance os light and fresh, actually refreshing would be the correct word. The texture is gel like and does not feel heavy on the skin at all. It gets absorbed completely making the skin feel hydrated. plump and firm.

My experience and thoughts

This gel cream is in one word excellent ! Gets absorbed completely within seconds, no greasy and oily feeling, no tackiness, no oily residue. Instantly hydrates skin and makes it feel alive, fresh, healthy, plump, smooth and firm. What else do I need ! During the winters I used this as day cream and for the night I felt that this alone was not doing enough, I needed a little bit of extra love from facial oils. But for the summers this would alone be enough for both day and night. For the day time, you do need to apply sunscreen on top. We cannot skip that as well can we. Foundation goes on top flawlessly and the end result is beautiful.

Now, there can never be all things good can it! This claims to give a zero blemish skin, hence if you have cystic acne, this won't cure it. If you have minor blemishes it will surely help to minimize those, due to its presence of salicylic acid. But nevertheless, it had always calmed my painful acnes. never irritated them. My skin had almost cleared up with the help of The Nature's Co Garlic Anti Acne Cream. But, recently I had many weddings to attend and with makeup and heavy foundation, my skin revolted and I got few cystic bumps. There is another product I am currently using which is showing excellent results on healing the horrible acnes. I am going to post about it soon.

Overall, if you are in dilemma about which cream to use, that would not break you out and will hydrate your skin without making it oily. This is perfect for you and for all of us who has terribly oily skin. And it's paraben free, mineral oil free and colorant free, a great product within 800 bucks don't you think. I do highly recommend this.

  3. I am using the same cream and serum from the same line. However, why does it peels off of my skin whenever I put something above it? Does it mean that this product is not compatible with my skin? It doesn't absorb quickly to me as well. I hope someone will reply as I'm really not sure if I should stop or continue using this product.
