Innisfree Bija Trouble Skin Toner Review

A toner, an integral part of the CTM routine, and makes a huge difference on skin with or without it. I have tried many and there are few of them, available in the Indian market which are absolutely amazing for acne prone skin. This happens to be one of them.
We know how serious the Koreans are about their skincare, more serious than the French in many cases. So it's needless to say that the Koreans do take a great deal of importance when it comes to quality ingredients. I would not say that all Korean brands are great, some of the cheaper stuffs are loaded with cheap chemicals, and this I am speaking from my own experiences in the past while trying some free sheet masks from a Korean shopping portal. Nevertheless, there are some where you can invest your money ( skincare is investment!), and Innisfree is one of them. If you are interested in Korean skincare, I would suggest buy only the products which has information in English and has some reputation in International market.

Coming to the toner. This toner is a perfect blend of naturally occurring ingredients with some essential chemicals. This contains torreya seed extract, commonly known to you and me and nutmeg which is quite beneficial for acne skin. It also has green tea extract, again something which works extremely well on acne skin. It also has naturally occurring salicylic acid and alcohol. Yes, this is not free of alcohol. Now, I have gotten used to the fact that most of the good toners which has suited my super sensitive skin has alcohol.

My experience and thoughts

The toner is very gentle. The salicylic acid does not sting and the alcohol does not dry up skin. It pulls out every last remnant of dirt and grime or even makeup from pores. It tightens pores and honestly my pores does look shrunken around the nose area. The fragrance is quite refreshing with a citrus note. Unlike the Vichy Normaderm pore tightening lotion, this does not have any overpowering alcohol smell. Overall, the toner is very pleasant the does the job really well. I have been using this for the past nearly 3 months both morning and evening as part of CTM, and I am very much pleased with the results. It gently exfoliates skin and giving it a clean fresh feeling. It does not irritate any active acne and I have not noticed any breakouts due to this. With continuous usage you would see a difference in blemishes on skin.

If you have very sensitive skin which is acne prone or if you do suffer from acne provided you do not have any sensitivity towards salicylic acid, then this toner is one gem of a product. It is bit expensive, but then one bottle will last you 3 months easily. I do recommend this if you are looking for good toner which can be used all year around.
