Just Herbs Kimsukadi Tail Review

On my last post I talked about a body oil which I am in love with currently, and today I am going to talk about a facial oil. But am I blindly in love with it ? I am getting to that little bit later. This facial oil is a relatively new launch from Just Herbs, and they had sent this as a nomination in Harper Bazaar's India Beauty Awards. I got my hands on this as soon as it launched somewhere around October first week. And have been using this ever since. Its all natural and natural ingredients does takes time to work their charm on your skin. 2 months is fairly a good amount of time to judge a product don't you think ? It's time to let you all know my honest thoughts about this and how this actually performs.

Note that this facial oil is not to be confused with kumkumadi tail, where saffron is used to formulate the ayurvedic wonder product. Whereas in Kimsukadi, Kinshuk flower is used very commonly known as Palash in Bengali. The flower is not rare and very widely seen in almost everywhere in Bengal. I had heard a lot of its health benefits from the tales of grand mothers, but never have I heard that it has skin care properties. Only in recent times after I started using the oil, I googled and found this flower does have anti-inflammatory properties and can be beneficial to treat acne.

This brightening facial oil is a classical Ayurvedic formulation that uses the bright orange Kinshuk (also known as palash, tesu or the ‘flame of the forest’) flower-revered in Ayurveda for centuries for its skin soothing properties. The Kinshuk flower is blended with seventeen precious Ayurvedic herbs to make this glow boosting facial oil. This makes the oil, the perfect product to use if you’re looking to use something safe and effective that works on your skin while you’re asleep. Ayurveda documents the herbs and plants which are being used as glow boosters. Also, these are known to have startling effect on pigmentation, dull and ageing skin and on pimple scars.

My experience and thoughts

I absolutely love the texture of this facial oil. It gets absorbed into skin without any oily and sticky residue, much much better than the Trilogy Rosehip Antioxidant Plus. I had started using it since October when the weather was pretty hot and humid here in Kolkata, then too it did not feel heavy on skin, it did not feel as if it is sitting on top of my skin and not getting absorbed. The skin starts to feel plump, nourished and looks healthy, about an hour or so post application. I apply this only at night and unlike the Trilogy one, my face do not turn into an oil tank the next day morning. I can just splash my face with water to clean it, I really can get away without using any face wash. But the Trilogy one helped me to control acne.

I can truly vouch for the company's claims on glow boosting qualities. My skin is in much more glowing state since the last time I could remember. This whole year I had been battling with an acute case of cystic acne and much of skin's luster and glow is lost. This oil did bring some of it back and my skin is healthier than ever. Since my cystic acne is in much control now, almost gone ( that is due to another hero product which I am going to post about in coming days ), I am able to judge this oil's effect even better. Most importantly, me having the most oily skin ever, this did not break me out. I started using this when my face was full of cystic bumps, I did not get any additional ones due to this, Thank God ! neither did this dried out my existing ones.

I did not notice any difference on my pigmentation and also on the innumerable acne scars that makes my skin looks like the surface of the moon. *hides face under a pillow and sobs* I have major pigmentation issues around my mouth area, no improvement there.

So if you are looking for a very good quality facial oil which will just add glow to your skin, this is a great option. I know this is very expensive but it will last you easily for 3 months. I had used this for 2 months and more and half of the bottle is still left. Do not expect this to control acute cystic acne, or acute hyper pigmentation. But it will moisturize and hydrate your skin really well and even during winters. You just to use couple of more drops instead of 2-3 drops. If you are a bride to be and have wedding coming up in next couple of months, I highly recommend this to you. This will surely restore the glow on your skin for your special day.
