Paperboat with Sherbet - E - Khas and Rose Tamarind

I have been a huge fan of Paper boat drinks since the day they launched. I have tasted each and every one of their flavors of which Aampanna and Jaljeera are my all time favorite. Their drinks are super tasty, refreshing and some how you would find a little bit of memories from your childhood wrapped around them. It was too kind of them to send me their latest flavors which they introduced during the Eid time.

Their new editions Sherbet-e-Khas and Rose Tamarind are so fruity, tangy, tasty and utterly refreshing like rest of their drinks. My husband loved Sherbet-e-Khas so so much that he just allowed one sip to me, and the rest he just gulped down in one go. Me, I am sipping on to Rose Tamarind now as I jot down this post. Thank God, the man do not have a taste of tangy drinks, or else things could have gotten real ugly. I just could not let him have both of the drinks to himself, since I did not find any one of the new ones in my local super market.

Sherbet - e -Khas reminds me of a fruit punch. It has a mix of litchi, apple and grape juice with one heck of a fruity blast. It is nothing like I tasted before. This flavor do not remind me of any memories of my childhood, but hey, you are never too late to create new ones. My husband snatching the pack from me and me fighting with him over it is going to be one. And every time I drink this in the future it is going to remind me of this.

Rose Tamarind is another gem with its sweet tang of tamarind and a hint of rose, very unique. During my school days on summer time, my mom used to make a similar version of this but very rustic and minus the rose flavor. She used to soak dry aged tamarind in water with jaggery batasha the whole day and when we used to be back from school she used to mix it well and strain the juice. Add a little pinch of rock salt and serve it cold to me and my brother. Tamarind and batasha cools down your body and also boosts immunity, digestion and prevents cough and cold as well. I have a tongue for tangy taste and that used to be my favorite summer cooler. It still is, only now there is lack of time and energy to do all that. Mothers, some how they can manage everything. May be I will get this super power someday when I am a Mom myself.

Whenever I am going grocery shopping, I always buy my stock of Aampanna and Jaljeera, now I know I am going to add Rose Tamarind to my basket as well. Whereas my husband always gets Aamras and I am sure he is going to stock up Sherbet-e-Khas too.

Paper Boat drinks retails for Rs 30 for 250 ml and can be easily available in any supermarket, but these new ones I am not so sure. You can easily buy them online from Amazon though.
If you have tried them and do let me know which one is your favorite between the two. I am literally torn.
