Makeup Revolution Ultra Professional Blush Palette in Sugar and Spice
Let me be honest with you guys, I was never a blush person, solely because, I have lot of acne marks on my cheeks and I always preferred my cheeks to be simple plain without any flush of color so that it does not accentuate any flaws. But it was back then, now when I have learned how to correct and conceal, blush is a new found best friend for me. And when I got my hands on the Makeup Revolution Blush Palette on Sugar and Spice I have never looked back.

Availability : I ordered it from MR UK store, but you can easily get it from Nykka, or Flipkart.

Packaging ~

The blush palette comes in a quite sturdy black plastic casing with a in built mirror. Honestly, a palette without a mirror makes no sense to me. It good that this one has. This is not bulky, hence you can carry it in your tote or handbag easily if you have a part to attend after work.

Texture ~

The texture is smooth and none of the shades have any chalky texture. The powder is very finely milled and sticks to the brush evenly. One can swipe finger on the blushes and apply with fingers evenly if brush is not handy. This blends really really well with fingers or with brush. As the powders are not chalky, there is no wastage involved so the palette would last you forever, unless you are an makeup artist and you use blush on clients regularly.

Longevity ~

This is extremely long wearing. I have not tested much of blushes in the past. But this does not budge for straight 6-7 hours long or more than that. The longest I had this on was at a wedding where my makeup was on for nearly 7 hours and when I reached back home, the blush was at its place without vanishing.

Pigmentation ~

Out of this world. It is so amazing that if you do not use carefully, you might end up looking like a clown. A little goes a long long way. When I swatched in the below pic, after that I went for bath and I was hand washing my ethnic wears. So the blush swatches was in contact with water for quite some time. To my surprise, the swatches survived the continuous splashes of water. It did fade but some of the color did stay behind. I am extremely impressed with this.

Shades ~

There are total 8 shades, out of which 6 are matte and 2 are merged baked ones which would act perfectly as highlighters. One may think that first two shades on the top row might work as contour powder in pale skin by looking at it. But these does have pink under tones which are not at all suitable for contouring. But these work really well as every day blush for warmer skintones. It just gives a hint of color which looks natural. The third shade from the top row is a pale bubblegum pink in color which I do not use that often. And the last one is a frosty white baked powder with pink undertone. This works really well as a highlighter. The shimmers are also finely milled and not big chunky glitter and blend in beautifully. On darker skin tones this frosty white shimmery powder might look ashy so one need to use it carefully.

The colors in the second rows are bright pinks to coral pinks in shade. The first two shades are so bright and highly pigmented that of you are not careful you might end up with clown face. The third shade is a coral pink color and is my most used one for party makeup. The last color is a mauve-ish pink merged baked one. I use this shade to highlight only my cheek bones in little quantity, blend it well to give a natural glowy satiny finish.

Overall, I am in love with this palette. This had made me love blush and use it more often. Its cheap, highly pigmented, blends well, long wearing, so what's not to love. I highly recommend this and I am sure blush lovers would love this too.
