Diwali Nail Art

What is Diwali to the rest of the world, for a Bengali it is Kali Puja. This form of the divine Goddess is in her most powerful form. She wards off evil and to perform the puja rituals it does take a lot pure devotion and strength. Usually we fast the whole day and only at night the puja ritual starts which continues till dawn of the next day, During Durga Puja I did want to do a Durga Puja inspired nail art but somehow it did not happen. So this Kali Puja ( same day as Diwali) I am making up for it. So here is my Kali Puja inspired nail art.

On the day for Chhoti Diwali we observe "Bhut Chadursai". On this day it is a must that we eat 14 different kind of Saag, it is said that these variety of leafy vegetable wards off evil spirits. Things we do !! I always thought since I was a kid that this was my mother's way to make us eat green leafy vegetables. We also light all our houses with candles, a minimum of 14 in numbers is a must.

And on the day of Diwali is when we worship the divine goddess. We again light up our houses with candles and diyas. One at every corner of each doors of the house is a must. Nowadays we also light up the whole house with colorful streamers and array of lights. We burst fire crackers, distribute sweets and just have fun.

I tried to reciprocate the same on my fingers, the divine goddess, streamers of tiny colorful lights, and diyas. Hope you enjoyed the nail art.

I wish you all a very happy Diwali, may the festival of light enlighten you, ward off any negativeness from your life. I wish all the happiness to you and your family.
