August '15 Empties

Saturday, October 03, 2015

It's been ages since I did an empties post. Well I did store up my empty bottle to let you know about my favorites and not so favorite ones, but my maid threw my previous to this collection unknowingly. Hence, this post has been long due. But I have learned my lesson from this ordeal and I have managed to keep my current empty bottles away from my maid's curious eyes.

Votre Invigorating Orange Hand and Foot Gel Scrub : This is by far the worst hand and foot care product I have used till date. I did not like it from the very first day so it was just lying in my bathroom shelf tucked away in a corner. I did not like the smell, texture nothing about the product. You can read the detail review Here.

Soultree Hibiscus Hair Conditioner : This is a great silicone free, paraben free conditioner. This one is my second tub. This gives basic moisturization to your hair and nothing else and that's all I need for my hair. It does make my hair feel soft and healthy. My hair quality has improved a lot since I have ventured into sulfate, silicone, paraben free hair products. You can find the detail review Here.

Vichy Normaderm Pore Tightening Lotion : This is my holy grail of toner. I have re-purchased this thrice and this one here is my third bottle. You can find this in my previous empties post as well. It cleanses pores, tightens them and makes skin feel fresh. This has controlled my acne a lot. I am a little peeved by it's alcohol content though. You can find the detail review Here.

Just Herbs Silksplash Rehydrant Face wash: This face wash is the best sls/sles free faces I have used till date. I never run out of stock of it, and I do not know how many people I have recommended this to, and they all swear by it. I highly recommend this. Recently I have started using a face wash by Soultree, I am going to do a post on that soon.

Alba Botanica Midnight Tuberose Shower Gel: I love Floral fragrance, and when I came across an SLS/SLeS one in tuberose (aka Rajanigandha ) variant I had to try. I enjoyed the smell of the shower gel a lot. But as the autumn setting in, and the weather started getting a little cooler, this made my skin feel a bit dry, which I did not notice in hot humid summer. I am not going to re-purchase this as there are so many fragrances to try. Alba Botanica has some great natural products.

Just Herbs Myrrh Sandalwood Restorative Skin Tonique : If you have not tried the alcohol free toners range from Just Herbs, you can give them a chance. I was sent their three variants and this Myrrh Sandalwood version is my favorite one after using all of them. This makes my skin feel really fresh and rejuvenated. Plus its all natural. This one is surely going in my re-purchase list.

Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturizer : A decent fragrance free light weight moisturizer. I have used this all year around. I got this last year during winter, when it failed to protect my skin from harsh coldness. But during spring, summer and monsoon it fared quite well. It did not break me out. In the summer I noticed it did make my skin sweaty. But my skin felt hydrated. My husband uses this more than I did, as AC was making his skin feel dry. Overall, I feel its a basic moisturizer that you can keep handy.

Vichy Normaderm Night Detox : This is my holy grail night cream for the summer. This had improved my skin texture and also made my skin less oily in the morning compared to the Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturizer and when I skipped any moisturizer at all. If you have acne skin, this one would help combat that a lot. This had managed to reduce the redness and size also of my active acne to some extent. I am going to get this again in the summer of 2016.
