Vichy Normaderm Anti-imperfection Deep Cleansing Foaming Cream

It's so unbearably hot and humid in Kolkata now that skin feels sticky and grimy all day long. My skin was too bored with the Just Herbs Sliksplash, as I have been using that for forever now. So I went for a change. I bought this foaming face wash as it is the only cleanser I saw in Vichy line which is sulfate free. I been using their astringent lotion from the Normaderm range which my skin quite loved. So I invested in cleansing, toning and moisturizing routine from the same range. Now I have an extremely sensitive acne prone skin and it's an ongoing battle. Due to which my skin requires some heavy duty products to clear out the imperfections left behind by Mr. Acne, natural skin care was just not doing enough.

The Vichy Normaderm Anti-imperfection deep cleansing foaming cream is suitable for the sensitive skin and is enriched with Vichy Thermal Spa water. It claims to eliminate thoroughly impurities, dead cells and oil excess. It tighten pores. It is tested on Asian Imperfection prone skin. Its both hypeallergenic and non-comedogenic, which are things that I look for when I buy any product. After use, skin is expected to be purified and fresh, smooth and comformtable.

From the ingredients list, I can see that it has no sulfates and parabens, hence I am sold already. It has Salicylic acid which is a boon for acne prone skin. Salicylic acid clears out pores and helps in reducing acne. I feel that they should have listed out the percentage of Salisylic acid.

Price : 590 INR for 125 ml.

Coming to the review of this foaming face wash. This comes in a white plastic tube with a flip cap hence hygienic and travel friendly. The product is snowy white in color and is of a soft creamy consistency. A small pea size quantity is enough to cleanse the whole face. I splash my face with cold water, take a tiny quantity of this foaming cream on wet palms and then work into a rich lather. I message the lather on to my face with my finger tips avoiding the eye area for about 30 seconds. Then rinse off with cold water. I have noticed that the foaming cream rinses off well without any residue on the skin. And after patting it dry gently, it definitely makes my skin feel fresh, deeply cleansed and the pore feels tighter. It does strip off any bit of oil and grime from my face.  If a larger quantity is taken then it strips off skin's natural oil as well would feel stretchy. Hence I use a very tiny amount. This can only be used during hot and humid summer days when normal gentle cleanser does not seem to cleanse thoroughly. I use this once daily only as part of my night time CTM routine. I follow it up with Vichy Normadern Pore Tightening Lotion, and then Vichy Normadern Nuit Detox and hit the bed. I do not recommend this to be used multiple times a day or during the winter. This foaming cream is just meant to deep cleanse, don't expect it to vanish your imperfections away.

Overall, this is a gentle foaming cream with salisylic acid that you can try if you have acne prone skin like me, but only during the summer. Take a very very small quantity to avoid stripping off skin's natural oil. On that note I think this tube would last for a very long time, hence value for money. Try it and let me know how much it worked for you to control acne.

Love,
Shampita.
